As a Parent Liaison/ Volunteer Coordinator my role is to :

Facilitate communication between parents and schools.
Cultivate parental interest your children's school and activities.
Serve as the liaison with the broader community by sharing the goals and the vision of our school.
Partner with local businesses and community organizations to foster mutually beneficial relationships.
Train and educate new volunteers to the district.
Help to coordinate teacher/volunteer appreciation.
Assist with fund raising events.

The Desert Sky Middle School Bolt Closet is utilized to meet the clothing needs of our students and their families. Sometimes we all fall on hard times and need a little assistance. The Bolt Closet is here to help during those times

The Bolt Closet is a private room full of donated, gently used clothing, shoes and accessories. We do have the bolt closet organized by gender and size. All clothing is clean and folded. A visit to the Bolt Closet is Confidential. The person that arranges and assists in the Bolt Closet is our parent liaison, Jolie Benner. Mrs. Benner is in the front office all day. General Supply List

Parents and Students,

At the middle school level, your student will have 6 teachers. Each teacher may ask for different supplies to be used in their class.
This information will be provided to the students on the first day of school.

At minimum, we ask that the students bring the following supplies on the first day of school.

Backpack
3 ring binder
College ruled notebook paper
Pens
Pencils
Some pocket folders - maybe one for each subject.

*Arizona law requires that public schools provide supplies required for academic success. This list represents optional, supplementary items which you may supply, at your discretion. If you have questions, feel free to contact the school.
